Traveling and learning new information while living my life to the best!

HI! My name Is Elana Kaminsky, I am 20 years old, and am currently a second semester Junior at the beautiful High Point University. I am a social media and digital communication major with a minor in marketing. I absolutely love learning about this field of work and have learned so much so far about it, and constantly love to learn more new information about too! I am from Plainview, New York which is on Long Island. I live only 23 minutes from the beach, which is one of my favorite things to do over the summer. At home I live with my mom, Adria, my dad, Jason, my sister, Alex, and my two dogs Barkley and Murphy. Barkley is a Labradoodle and Murphy is a Bernidoodle. A fun fact about them is they have the same birthday and are born a year apart!! Both times my parents got them they surprised my sister and I when we got home from camp. Going to college that is so far from home was something for me I was excited about. For seven summers of my life I would spend seven weeks away at camp getting to only see my parents once and speaking to them three times on the phone. Before coming to High Point, I had never been to the state of North Carolina, so coming down here from being from New York was a very big culture shock. One thing that I love to do is to travel. Traveling is something I can never get enough of. My goal in life is to go to every state. So far I have only been to 21 different states, so I have a lot more to go! My favorite place I have ever been to is Italy. I went with my parents and my sister in the summer of 2018, and we got to see so many different things. We went to Florence, Rome, and Venice. My absolute favorite memory was making fresh pizza. I can still taste how good that Pizza was. In my life besides wanting to travel and learn more about different cultures, I want to end up in a job that relates to social media marketing. There is so much in this field of work that I just love. Minus the fact that it is so fast paced and ever changing, social media is somewhat of a new concept, and it has become one of the most popular ways to connect with people. In my life I always want to find a way to live it to the best, so I can be the happiest I can be!
